Am I medicating my kids at the drop of a hat? Absolutely not. But if someone is projectile vomiting or clearly miserable? We are not suffering through that. I believe in medicine, I believe in vaccines, and I believe in being prepared. 💉🤧

Pro tip: Colombian farmacias carry meds by their generic names! So know your acetaminofen from your ibuprofeno before you need to make a run at 11pm.

💤 2 pairs of PJs per kid (accidents happen)
👙 Pool cover ups + 1 bathing suit per child
🧥 1 sweater each.... evenings get chilly out there
👚 3 outfits per kid (1 for every day were there + a spare)
🩲 4 pairs of undies per kid (that are potty trainied)
🧦 3 pairs of socks for my middle (big sneaker phase happening over here)
👶🏽 4 overnight diapers + 3 diapers per day for my toddler
🧳 The accordion organizer that keeps all the kid stuff together in plain sight.

This is for the parents who don’t know where to begin, but want to get out the door and start making memories. And always book a place that at least has a washing machine. Outfit repeats make packing so much easier!

Of course there are things and people I miss in the States, but my kids are growing up in a country where their lives are respected and prioritized. In so many different ways. So if you’ve never been and think CoLoMbiA iS SoOo UnSaFe, that’s cool. Stay where you are, don’t come. More room for us. 🇨🇴
